Dress Code
Weather conditions and appropriate school clothing should determine a child's apparel. Our students are part of an academic team at Fort Logan and we encourage students to dress for success.
Below are some specific clothing guidelines:
- Hats and sunglasses are not to be worn in the building. If a child wishes to bring a hat or sunglasses to school they must stay in their backpack or locker until it is time for recess or dismissal.
- Shirts with spaghetti straps, tube tops, halter-tops, undershirts or shirts that do not cover the stomach are not permitted.
- Shorts are only acceptable in the months of August, September, October, April, and May. In addition, the shorts must be an appropriate length. A good measure is two to three inches above the knee.
- Pants and jeans should fit snugly around the hips or waist. Sagging jeans or pants are not permitted.
- Any manner of grooming or apparel including clothing, jewelry, hats, emblems, & badges which by virtue of color, arrangement, trademark, or other attribute is associated with or denotes membership in or affiliation with any gang will not be allowed in school buildings or on school grounds.
- Distracting accessories such as large tattoos, excessive jewelry, long chains or makeup, or long artificial nails are NOT permitted for school.
- Dyed or colored hair is not permitted at school.
